The Gospel: Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Christ

The Gospel is beautifully summarized in 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, . . . how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”

These verses encapsulate the message of salvation. Jesus’s sacrificial death on the cross as payment for the sins of all who believe (John 3:16, 18, 36; John 5:24). And His resurrection offers the assurance of eternal life.
